Bombuscolor hives are designed for effective pollination of both covered and outdoor crops.
They contain the bumblebee Bombus terrestris, a pollinating agent that outperforms its relatives, the honeybees.

Bumblebees of the Bombus genus are more hardworking:

  • They fly for longer hours during the day.
  • They visit more plants.
  • They show little tendency to move outside the target crop, which is very convenient for outdoor farming.
  • They are capable of flying under difficult conditions such as low temperatures, cloudiness, or wind.

They are known for their high pollen transmission capacity thanks to “buzz pollination”, which releases pollen through the turbulence generated by the beating of their wings.

Bombuscolor hives are supplied with a single active queen together with her first adult workers, larvae, pupae, and eggs, as well as food and pollen to ensure the continuous development of all hive members.

This guarantees the hive’s effectiveness for at least 6 weeks after delivery.
The insatiable Bombuscolor hives are also very easy to open and place.
